Ljubljana

Drove from Pivka Jama this morning to Ljubljana Camping Resort.  We wouldn't call it a resort exactly, but it's a very convenient site for seeing the capital city - just a short cycle or bus ride from the centre.  We opted for the bus ride this afternoon and that was a good choice as the track was very busy.  We wandered by the river and the market and decided to go on one of the short river trips - just 45 mins. with a guide.  The town is very small anyway, so this was great as a taster and to get our bearings.  One of the bridges on a bend in the river is actually three - one for vehicles and 2 for pedestrians, built in the Venetian style.  We thought it was a new take on Three Bridges but they actually call it the Triple Bridge!  It's been a lovely warm sunny day, but all afternoon there was the occasional rumble of thunder in the distance.  When we got off the boat it seemed to be coming closer, so we made straight for the bus and came 'home'.  But all it did was rumble around for a while longer and away it went.
