Our weather is being very odd - this morning we sat out in the sunshine to eat our breakfast, but all the mountain-tops around us were covered with very grey clouds. So of course, you can't trust it to stay dry when you know the rain is lurking. We got ourselves all ready to go for a bike ride but stayed put for two short showers before venturing onto the piste cyclable "Voie Verte" which runs between our campsite and the lake. It was about midday by this time so we'd packed a few snacks in the rucksack. However, we'd only gone about 15 minutes when great big spots of rain came down - but - we were just about to cross a road in the village of Saint-Jorioz and there was a sign pointing to the left advertising Restaurant Bar 200m. Within seconds the rain had become stair-rods, so we pedalled for England to the shelter of the Lac & Montagne!
It was a pretty wooden chalet with a covered terrace where we could leave our bikes and they served up a super lunch while we steamed off.
We carried on along the track after that, enjoying the surrounding scenery and some beautiful houses.

We found 3 geocaches along the route, but couldn't find the one at the old loco at a picnic spot - but at least there was no more rain ... that is until after our evening meal when we went for a little walk and we got another soaking in the last 5 minutes before we got back! It is very beautiful here though, whatever the weather throws at us.
