We returned from the Isle of Wight on Tuesday, unpacked the van, have done washing and cleaning and now ready to start packing again! Our next adventure starts on Monday morning, after a night staying with Peter, Hannah, Emilie and Adam. We have 6+ weeks to slowly travel south through France to the Alps, cross northern Italy, possibly visit Slovenia, then into Austria and home via Germany and France. Looking forward to some stunning alpine scenery ....
We are sure you will have a wonderful time ...we are looking forward to our France trip, starting on 9 June. . happy travelling
ReplyDeleteHi John and Ann
ReplyDeleteThe weather has taken a dramatic turn for the worse since you left, a steady downpour this morning is thwarting my plans to plant out my new plants, red hot pokers, which arrived by post yesterday. I have ambitious plans to plant up my own summer border ( why spend out on expensive NT visits, come to 29 Beaver Close instead!). Alas, likely to go the way of my previous garden projects and will end in tears, but will keep you posted!
Had a really good evening at the Compass course last night, ably lead by Rob, delicious food supplied by the Coventrys. It will be a hard act to follow when the group comes here next month!
Andy has his last exam (of 7) this afternoon, so will be much relieved this evening. Then a month to spend finishing the group project, a go-kart of some description!
Al had a seminar at UCL yesterday for his Part 3; with an exam next month and an 8,000 word assignment to write, as well as the day job, he is keeping busy too!
Hope your trip has got off to a good start!
lots of love
I shall dust off the map of France, and find you!!
